Balloon Festival Kick off

DR Horton America's Builder is the new sponsor and venue for the Friday morning balloon launch. Spectators will be able to meet the balloon teams and take photos of up to 30 hot air balloons launching from the new home development in Cathedral City. Come out early to watch the hot air balloon launch and take a tour of the beautiful models at DR Horton's Verono homes. Coffee and donuts will be served during the tour of the models. This event is free to the public and takes place between 6:00-8:00 am Friday, November 22 at 67-925 Rio Pecos Rd, Cathedral City.
Friday Festival Balloon Flight
6:00 AM
Meet at 6:00 am at the Balloon Ride Check-In desk at DR Horton at Verono 67-925 Rio Pecos Rd. Cathedral City. You will be matched with a balloon pilot and take an approximately 45-minute flight with up to 30 hot air balloons. After the flight, you will be returned to the Verono property. Plan to be with us for about 2 hours total time. Please give us a call at 760-568-0997 to confirm your flight and answer any questions or concerns.

A dozen hot air balloons provide the backdrop for a spectacular evening of music, wine and dancing, featuring the big band sounds of Ron King with vocalist Barbara Morrison. The Ron King Big Band is an award-winning band that has performed at virtually every venue in L.A. Including the Hollywood Bowl. For the last 15 years they have been the featured big band at the world's largest jazz festival in Jakarta, Indonesia. Ron King is one of the finest trumpet / composer / arranger artists, in the world today. Morrison is known for a melodic voice and a three-and-a-half-octave range. She interprets a familiar jazz and blues classics repertoire in a unique style, and also sings original contemporary tunes.
Open seating – All tickets are $45. Cash bar and food stations.
As an official event of the 6th Annual Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival, this concert will feature a hot air balloon glow, weather and FAA permitting. No refunds will be given if balloons are canceled due to weather or FAA regulations.
